Right, I'm getting back to this, after picking up last year - makes for some good winter music, if anything at all. The first solo record by Mr Cooper, who was part of Amateur Dramatics, as well as Mummy Fortuna's Theatre Company, out on Lex Records a while ago... He's also from Brighton apparently - Bonobo's home town, and similarities don't end there: another smooth, smooth mixture of beats and strings (though lacking vocals), perfect for those grey days when you just wanna sit down, warm up with a cup of tea. References may go further with Albert Camus, Autechre, David Lynch, George Orwell, Godspeed! You Black Emperor, Stanley Kubrick, Brian Eno, Buck 65, Boards of Canada, Orson Welles, Vincent Gallo, or Park Chan-Wook (phew), cited amongst personal influences, but it all comes to nice bedroom/chillout music, minus the usual nonsense. Songs, each numerically titled, can stand on their own, yet go best together, as a single cohesive whole. My favourite's 9. And yours?...

Thanks for this one doru, you put it this way "but it all comes to nice bedroom/chillout music, minus the usual nonsense." I like this music, but...it lacks.....I just don't know what?.....Heart maybe.

well balanced music so to say.. but the influences are way too visible (audible, if u want) and it-s like we heard these emotions before. it's nice but not sparkling.
