These gentlemen use the traditional bass-drums-guitar (plus organ) format, and do it right, y'know. "Right", in the sense of freedom being exercised, and "right" for the general nice atmosphere their LP brings about. I might play it really loud and start shouting at passers, just to clarify my statement, but the 60s vibe going on here is almost perfectly transparent. Vague, airy vocals over slabs of druggy fuzz... love... and alcohol... Go ON, babies! And yes, if you haven't run into them before, it's Wooden ShJips with a J - that's not a typo, just a way of making their moniker more psychedelic (and easier to google, too). They've garnered a lot of deserved attention from folks into minimalistic psych throb, that's for sure, and further whetted everyone's appetites for this album with the Summer of Love 7" single that came out a couple weeks ago and has already sold out (2nd edition in the works).

...isn't there a bonus disk with this album that includes superior songs than whats on the album? I have heard around the net that their earlier singles/EPs , etc are great and that this release is a bit of a dissapointment...however as i've only heard this release so i've nuthin to compare it to....
