After Greg Haines' splendid Slumber Tides we find another debut album on Miasmah, this time centered around piano instead of cello. Rafael Anton is a Seattle-based musician previously signed to Mille Plateaux; you don't have to be a genius to connect him with the click-hop don Mokira, who here handles mastering. Actually it's kinda funny seeing two so-called 'microsound' technicians join on something so classically minded. Little of the click/glitch/frame world left, to make room for the sparse, precise piano notes, backed by only a guitar and distant electronic crackles. Highly melodic, moody, melancholic... If you've never got into Miasmah, it's a good place to start. Just a small piece in the great Satie revival, I am sure, but more focused and less meandering than others. Works through simple concepts/careful compositions.

damn. i cant get none of your new posts for almost two weeks. each time it pops out as an empty or damaged archive although it doesnt seem that i'm doing smth wrong. i try both links but none of them work right. please, can you help me with that? not that i'm asking for a personal mirror, no. i know that you are doing great work and i appreciate it and admire each and every post you make. just help me out with a technical advice maybe.
yeah, this seems like a real problem, but honestly, i am clueless. there might be software incompatibilities, but i don't don't remember changing my software in the last two weeks (did you?). there might be something about the servers, but again, how come other people manage to get clean archives from them? it's a bit tricky.. i will try and make a little poll, to see how many have and have not got corrupted data. starting from my next post, i will also use the other laptop to archive my folders. maybe that will help. if not, than we're really stuck.
ps: this may sound stupid, but i think your Java version has a part in it too. did you change it, recently?

I just updated it through regular built-in service as an average lame user. It might have well been a coincidence though.

may as well be a coincidence though again, it's not every day that java asks you for an upgrade. glad it worked out, anyway.
