Sweet mix of new New Orleans brass music laying out in a modern form. Rather a selection of tracks from three different bands: Rebirth, Hot 8 and the Soul Rebels. Kinda sorta has a go go feel (not really, but you'll know what I mean after listening), with less emphasis on percussion and more on the brass; several tracks have "emcees" with call-response moments (less irritating than expected). Can get a bit full-on with the constant screeching horns at times, but definitely infectious, monocle-adjusting stuff. Something different to play in ye olde stereo.
