Die musik von Hu Vibrational ist ein mix aus perkussiven Afrikanischen rhythmen und Afro-Jazz mit elementen aus hip-hop und elektronik.

Here's for my many German readers, and I think the Japanese are next in line tomorrow, and then, why not, the Russians and the Jews, and I swear I've spotted a couple Vietnamese! Well, let's just hope they all like getting down to the Boonghee: "a new dance music (sic!) that there's no specific rhythm to; a gathering of grooves" with deep percussive (handmade included) flavas - very rhythmic, circular, and ummm universal!, which as you see today has come to Holy Trilogy. The "world music" tag - oh, I have a problem with that really, especially when self-imposed, just 'cause "world music" is too damn broad (bit like "indie" innit) and too damn "spiritual bla" to ever actually grab me, often relying on chants and painful culture shocks to make its point. Still, you can find some nice and worthy artists at times, which rise out of your cynicism, ahem. Founding members of Hu Vibrational, Adam Rudolph and Hamid Drake once met in a drum shop and decided to take music classes together; some 30+ years later they've already played along with classics Pharoah Sanders, Herbie Hancock, Jah Wobble, Bill Laswell, and lots more. Grandpas alrite, but staying on that youthful, colourful vibe; a certain airy touch, a certain liquidness and lushness. Digitals are barely used in favour of all kinds of instruments, which sound as closely recorded as groovy indeed (my tip: if nothing else, this stuff is mixtape-goodness, to help you break 'em up a bit). Produced by Carlos Niño (AmmonContact), a known promoter of other Cali-based acts Build an Ark, The Lifeforce Trio, Blackalicious, Cut Chemist, etc.
