A new name for me, Taumsauk, and a surprising one as well. It's a duo of Chicago based musicians Mike Snodgrass and Eric Busiek. Nicely packed, 21-minute EP, which feels a bit too short, me thinks. Although there is no mentioning of instruments, I assume that drums, keyboards and guitars are their main ones. Drums play the most important part, it seems - all six tracks bring them loud and much to the foreground. Guitars and/or keyboards complete the wall-of-sound technique that they like. A bit post-rock/shoegaze oriented, but unlike other acts in that style, I actually thought Taumsauk were nice. Even when not entirely original, their drive to make music seems more genuine and the approaches inside a track change throughout. To conclude - my kind of thing, and I'm curious to hear how a full album from the guys would turn out.

yeah that 2nd one felt like the baddest hiphop beat, is this sold out or what?
