Meursault
Sleeping Debris
Students of Decay 2007

01. Ivy
02. Sleeping Debris
03. Winters First Month
04. Friday Delivered into Light
05. [Untitled]

The subtlest recording you're likely to hear today, Sleeping Debris is more than fulfilling from a relative newcomer, with a quiet effervescence recalling Skelton's most lysergic moments. A disc to listen late at evening, watching towards the sky that reaches down with swirling clouds of bliss and purple hands paddling around in pools of silence, while little eels keep darting in & out of the now blank eye-sockets. Beauty exists and sometimes has a form. Y'know, can't think of much else to say...

File under: "frail webs of cascading drones and beautiful swelling timbres into evocative mantras which hang thick in the air like fog".

>> rapid / mfire (56mb)

glad you liked - i really needed to get "them" out of my system :) last year's Subtle album ("For Hero : For Fool") was equally impressive: same voice, different producers.
