Sorc'henn
Harmonium Pieces and Dead Reveries
Faunasabbatha 2007

01. Toulgoat
02. Took Their Rise in Funerals

03. Kergoat Ar Lem
04. Heathendom
05. Where Does the Breath of the Dead Pianist Come From?
06. Grand-Harmonium du Diable
07. Huelgoat and the Droning Stones

So, I basically know nothing of this Frenchman's Sorc'henn (previously Agrippa) "sound project since 1998", but when homeboy plays his harmonium pieces, there's just no way to be prepared for something like it. At first, a sense of ritualistic rigor and of process that could make them seem a little dry, but audiophiles will agree the actual richness and sonic qualities of timbre are lifted out of ordinary, catching the ear again and again. Sorc'henn musique is stark and frighteningly possessed. At times during the opening 'Toulgoat' or 'Heathendom' the immersion factor almost sent me into some deep/primal alpha state, and the abstract sweep of tiny oscillations have produced such strong sensations in my back that I had to take the headphones off to catch a gasp of breath. Next time before listening, remind me to increase the number of my morning press-ups. For an advice to all of you: play it brutal and loud, just like Maranha's Marches of the New World, or else it might not help.

>> rapid / axi (70mb)
>> love it, buy it (Carbon)

track 5 doesnt work?

if your Winamp (or any other player) skips it, then you simply have to re-select the 5th track manually into the playlist. it's all got to do with the reversed question mark which some systems do not recognize.
