Literally "icemusic", as in music made from ice. Instrumentation includes: «Iceofon, Ice harp, Ice horn, Ice trumpet, Ice percussion, and an Ice bass drum carved from one block of ice». The only non-H2O elements are a bass drum pedal, fish line for suspension and the strings on the Ice harp (but of course). Several different voices fade in and out as it all moves along. The feel of the record is quite cohesive, with each song adding to the craftmanship of the artist while always retaining musicality and ease of listenability. What I'm saying may seem cold and analitical, and indeed, to some degree, Igloo is a thing to analyze. If that's not your bag, however, then just let the sounds drift out beyond attention, and the mind wander off. This is no party stuff, nor driving stuff or "chillout", but it has an ambient touch, carefully devised to give you a 43-min. excuse for not being there: at Sweden's "Ice Hotel", at a constant -6 °C. Igloo was nominated for the Norwegian Grammy as one of last year's best CDs.
