The music of Blues Control, as evidenced on this record, is a master work explodin. It germinates absolutely from the bowels of the Blues but erupts via a postmodern portal; there are gorgeous sheens of rust that fissure throughout, harmonica's smoke in the distance, guitars splatter, keyboards ooze white hot neo psychedelic lava, in the end, like the music emitted from Apollo's lyre, it is a devastatingly wondrous experience. And as much as you hear the (non specific) PSF or Akiyama buzz, Blues Control seem beget from the prominent clang & snarl of Dead C, who was beget by This Heat, who was beget by Faust, from whose seed it all originated. The kind of record begging to be listened to on vinyl. Give it a spin, start with the B-side maybe... tell me it doesn't blow your skull right open. And I'm not just talking of the highly psychedelic, spacey, mesmerizing... but the mysticism it enfolds, the sense of "infinity" only great bands could muster. Simply, music that will never age.

i like the A side better, its more avant garde
it pushes the boundaries further from what is normal music (side b is more normal music)
don't get me wrong, i like normal music also, depends how rational the surroundings are
i get more irrational when i listen to music alone (narrative and emotional), because i write stories for a living
of course it's a matter of circumstance, and hazard. it just so happened that i put the b side first and it completely nailed me to my bed. after which it was easier to go along with the rest. it may go the other way too, depending again on cirscumstance.

btw, what kind of stories are those dadphone? like screenplays? (you've told me about the movie industry before).
