"We record original music for stringed instruments. Might sound like anything, these pieces we improvise and compose. Primitive American. Avant American. Post-blues. Acoustic. Sometimes electric. Always emotional". -Andy & Michael Futreal

Previously know as The Offramps, Andy and Michael took their inspiration for this disc from Bukka White, a name that can be taken as a nod to where the "Primitive American" derives from - Delta blues. The two play bass, guitar, banjo and harmonica, but also less traditional instruments such as gourdtar, or Appalachian dulcimer (the latter previously found on records by Råd Kjetil, Mike Tamburo, and even Richie Skelton), in mostly post-blues vocal-less improv fashion, with hardly any effects. Nothing revolutionary under the acoustic sun, but hard to beat as far as sensuality and style go, be it uptempo/downtempo, dark or pretty. Fluid music with a richly soulful choreography. Best heard through speakers, trying to catch glimpses of light.

simple but good stuff. thanx. btw, do you have Glenn Jones' last CD, "Against Which the Sea Continually Beats"? beautiful acoustics too.
