Aha!, people haven't lost their humor! Jack Rose, meet Silvester Anfang. Silvester Anfang, meet Jack Rose. -How do you do? -Funeral, thank you. -Excuse me?! -Funeral. Alrite, so not everyone is gonna take the joke, but who cares, right?
Anyhow, it's a split release and it's "who they are". Jack Rose is Jack Rose: he play what he love to play, lap steel guitar, and you ever couldn't tell him stop, cause it's just too damn fine. Silvester Anfang are *ahem* a Belgian occult-ritualistic team: they don't love anyone, but they know who Jack is. They're not trying to steal Jack's aura - afraid their emotions would start showing up - but somehow tricked him for a 7-inch, having us witness the most unlikely pairing of tracks. In this case, it seems like the perfect chosen format: as if two extremes colliding in a friendly and polite way. Some may not get it at all, but then, I believe most will. Go ahead and try it, only sheep don't dare.
