Michael Donnely is obviously a big part of the Australian MYMWLY collective, both with Brothers of the Occult Sisterhood, Soarwhole, Ffehro, 6Majik9, etc., as well as a solo recording artist. His Terracid project is more psych orientated, with a stronger emphasis on composition, merging classic forms with free-styles, and generally "getting toasted". It's the closest he comes to a sonic kinship with US free folk luminaries like the Jewelled Antler massive, Bardo Pond, or the Finnish psych scene.
Really quite pointless focusing on individual tracks; Donnelly and Music Your Mind Will Love You are definitely making album length statements. Actually, the statements they are making are probably longer than that - many of them feel like infinite transcendental compositions trimmed back to fit the album format. Pinnacles Upon Aesthetes, a double-disc, should be the longest trip so far through this guy's mind. It has all the Terracid elements we've come to know; from solid percussion, electronics, flutes, chimes, or gently plucked acoustics, he uses all his instruments in such constructive, communicative and imaginative ways. The beauty's in the details - take your time and revel in their uncovering, 'cause there's no way I could explain just how much sometimes fits into a single track. This wealth can sometimes prove uneasy, but maybe it will make its way into some more attentive ears. By the time those ears have reached 'High Urine' and its basslines, they'll have realized the thing could well go on and on. And on and on and on and on. I hope that I have made my point.

i really like the 2nd disc, its more instrumental. not that his voice is bad oranything. Mergue Bicycle, Spiritus, High Urine have done lots for me.
i'm totally with you, "Mergue Bicycle" is very top and signals a more instrumental phase withing the album (love those crickets too). but my favourite should be "Spiritus" indeed - some sheer power in there. i've actually stopped to look at the title, cause it grabbed me so much.
