St. Louis' Raglani is a post industrial soundtrack workshop run entirely by one Joe Raglani. This guy has a genuine gift for patching together hand-made electronic meditations that consistently reach for the higher plane. The Man Myth Magic CD-R, released on his own Pegasus Farms Records, utilizes a smorgasbord of primo analog electronics with an assortment of live instruments to conjure a multipart epic that touches on everything from gentle folk spirals at the start to distorted drone splays, brain-drilling power electronics, some very cool Krautrock grooves and even a few meditative bliss-outs across just over a half hour. Could be something of a harsher and more violent take on what Becuzzi/Orsi have done. The great thing about it is fluidity again, and knowing how to compensate the harsher parts with pretty, smooth and calm ones. "Between pain and painkillers", for lack of a better term, or perhaps "clusterfuck" would be more fitting? Err... Dig in.
