The wild swan's death-hymn took the soul
Of that waste place with joy
Hidden in sorrow: at first to the ear
The warble was low, and full and clear; ...
But anon her awful jubilant voice,
With a music strange and manifold,
Flow'd forth on a carol free and bold;
As when a mighty people rejoice
With shawms, and with cymbals, and harps of gold...
-A. Tennyson, "The Dying Swan"

Full ceremonials to follow with a «Vortex Vault» megamix, sometime soon if I'm not lazy. It's been a weird, fun series, often fascinating, and Mr. Liles has done substantial work to cover every style of music, save for hip-hop or B-more perhaps. There are still 12 discs out there, some of them very limited; the complete collection going 'round £130 directly from the artist. This blog has only served to bring the Vortex to your ear's attention, and is greatly indebted to its author. With some chance, in some 20 years, people will still remember the black covers and the sounds.

If I wasn't a poor college student, I would buy that set. I wish I had everyone of these albums. They have been nothing but treasure to me. I thank both you and Mr. Liles for providing me with these beautiful, beautiful albums. Thank you.
