Third solo recording by Mirt (member of Brasil & the Gallowbrothers Band - ex One Inch of Shadow). He claims to be following the same way of his last mini-album Most, but actually leads us up the garden path. This time the musical journey centers around Mirt's fascination with 20th century revolutions and utopian socialism. You will find here six songs about a revolution that never took place and the motionless rebels hidden in their flats. It's mostly about the fight for what is unreal, and the frustrating, pointless battle with the here and now.

Tracks are carved out of acoustic and electric instruments with the addition of smooth analog sounds. The air has been filled with fragile trumpet tones; repeated, mesmerizing drones with a greater role given to prepared guitar and vintage synths.

Skipping past the revolutionary references (owed to his, err, Polish origins, perhaps), I find it a darn beautiful drone/ambient album, for both rainy/sunny days alike. Quite relaxing, fluid and affecting. Full instrumentation also gathers tablas, clarinet, piano, treated field recordings... For fans of Strjon, Mirages, Marijn, and any in between.
