Martin Gretschmann's 4th album - quite different from his other works, both with Console and as a Notwist/13&God producer. I liked his beats before, but not always his (featured) vocals; here he takes a step away from indietronics to make something much quieter. A late night bedroom album if you want, it would fit just right in the Morr back catalog. Higlights include two cover-versions by Brian Eno and Sonic Youth (By This River/Starpower), which actually make good use of Miriam Osterrieder's hushed voice, and we have some sparks of early Lali Puna as well. The rest is purely instrumental: six of the tracks appear in Jörg Adolph's literature documentary "Houwelandt", so you get the picture.
