Someone should've warned me little sooner. Really, I feel all left out, etc. If you're with me, I will save some time googling: K&P is a four-piece Israeli band founded some five years ago by master Igor Krutogolov. Mostly drums, bass, clarinet, toys, and his occasional voice, but it's all too insane to even start a description - they claim to be making «karate-box-jazz» (with a particular klezmer vibe!). Essentially, they're awesome, and after heard once, you may find yourself browsing through Hebrew sites, trying to find more of the kind. It's an intriguing sound, mad as trousers in parts, sometimes very soothing, and never ever dull. I'm currently listening on headphones, and as I type this I have a "parovoz" (train) running through my head. And the journey's only starting. And I'll make sure to take it more than twice. A true joy.

Thanks for sharing all this interesting music! Besides Terry Riley and Amon Tobin, these artists are completely unknown to me, but I'm always open to new experiences.
Nice music and blog...
...are you really from Moldova?
umm thanks and yes, i actually am!

nope... but my father parents are.
I visited them in a childhood at Vulkaneschti village and Kishineu just a couple o times in summer some looong time ago. Also, I have a friend who's from Moldova as well. Nice and warm country!
Just never thought that a guy from Moldova (in terms of speaking in different language of course :) could write such nice music reviews in english.
BTW, I'm from Ukraine originally.
ahh ok, i vited Ukraine (esp Odessa) quite a few times and had the same kind of opinion. well, i would kill Ukrainian customs workers anytime, but yeah, hehe.
