Whether you care or not, here is a prime collection of cold hard Asian beats, coming from Japan of course - the prime provider. Based in Hokkaido, O.N.O and Ill Bosstino (Tha Blue Herb) were first discovered by Krush, who features them on Code4109, and have otherwise been active with their own label, slowly standing out from the bunch. O.N.O's solo record is largely electronic to start with: sounds a bit like Phonem making out with another Ono (yeah, alrite, I just had to say it). There are repetitive patterns, but also complex things like the groovy percussion on Nanostorm. There are scattered rhythms and bizzare atonalities, and traditional elements, discretely evocative, like on Krk or Demand. There is, finally, this humaneness that sometimes prevails from the bitter coldness, particularly on Sigh, one of the strongest moments, taking an assembly of strange flutes and dubs... the most perfect instrumental 'software melancholia', be it hip-hop, electronics, or whatnot. It all naturally feels cerebral and 'introverted', yet somehow very uplifting methinks. Still, if any clubber wannabes got trailed here by error, they can always try and boogie to BG072.

That's a bit harsh doru, I love that track. I admit it's the least demanding one on the album though.
Brilliant record... Thanks
nah, i didn't really mean the track itself, but putting a "dance" element in the "cerebral" context.
Thanks Again...Keep Up The Good Work...Good Listenin'
